There are always good things.
How's everyone? I wish you well wishes in body and soul and love. I hope you are finding ways to bring peace to your minds and bodies as well as meaning and purpose in days that can feel as though they just bleed from one to the next in this unprecedented and uncertain time. And yet, at the same time, time becomes generous. These days seem to bring acute awareness of the blessing of being alive. Spring appears every day and new growth in the garden reminds me of my own. I am profoundly grateful for my health and able-body and the fresh Pacific Northwest air. There are always good things.
My daughter is painting and drawing. Home from college and sorority responsibilities, there is time to enjoy a simple pleasure all but lost in the race against it. My other daughter is teaching herself to embroider. We are cooking and baking and taking walks. Together, we are watching movies, sharing conversations and discovering time can also be kind. Who knew?? I wasn't really ready when it was time for my children to head to college, and now...As though the whole wide world's been given a bit of a "do-over" we are collectively and ridiculously aware of the abundance in our lives.
