Roses may bloom in May, but you’re not the boss of me and I’m ready to bloom right now!

I came upon her today, a rose after my own heart. :)

As you know, I do so enjoy a new planner at the beginning of a new year and like all of us, hoping to be returning to more pre-pandemic normal in 2022. All of that hope and planning is important. We were meant for it, but we were also meant to be present in the here and now and know the goodness in this moment. We cultivate that on the mat, learning how to be fully aware, fully present in body and mind. These last few days have felt a bit Spring-like and can't help but elicit hope. In the moment, as we feel the sunshine and see it's light we are simultaneously present in the now as well as anticipatory toward the weeks and months ahead. When we tune into right here and now, we find our center, strength and resiliency. We can bloom and anticipate at the same time. We know the physical practice of yoga is beneficial for our bodies in multiple ways and we just feel so much better. When we feel better right now, we live better right now but also tomorrow. More subtle qualities of our practice helps us regulate emotions, enhance cognitive abilities, allow for better sleep and provides us with vitality and more energy. Smooth out the roadways for our wheels of energy everyone and let's get to blooming! Let's go 2022!
