It’s time to usher out two thousand twenty one.

and look ahead with hope a new for two thousand twenty two. While these days are still trying to push past stuff that just keeps pushing back again and again, hope remains and a fresh slate lies before us. I just love cracking open a new planner, pages unwritten, pen poised and ready! Remaining childlike in curiosity gives way to learn to do something perhaps we've always done, but maybe in a new and different way. Growth. The snow fall comes (so much yay) and slows down our hectic pace, giving way to reflection. Curiosity happens and change can occur when we've slowed enough to tune in.

Consider all the many beautiful things that happened to you this past year. Perhaps you made a new friend, or discovered new ways to work and play that brought you joy and empowerment. Perhaps you returned to your yoga practice or another form of movement or fitness. Maybe, you've created a better bedtime routine and are drinking more water. Maybe you've forgiven someone and no longer hold onto the hurt you once did. 2021 isn't just news headlines, it's a year in your life and there's beauty and gratitude in just that. You are here. You are on purpose and you are loved.

I was recently asked about what I'd given thought to regarding any New Years Resolutions. In the moments of pondering that question, I realized all the things I do each day, each week, each month that are good, good things. I want to continue doing those. I want to hold gratitude first in the fact that I have breath in my body and get to. I simply want to continue doing the good work, remaining curious and open to ways positive change can happen in those things. I want to continue to release thoughts and habits that don't serve me in the good work I get to enjoy. I want to love myself and others better.

It is my hope and desire that you feel uplifted, encouraged and loved every time you walk through my studio door. I am humbled when you do and passionate about creating a safe space for you to come practice yoga, to embrace your whole self and grow in the ways you feel you need. I also hope you not only find exhilaration through your practice, but also rest and replenishment.
