Nodding Chair, that’s cool.

Good day. Welcome to October. My hope is it greets you well and on your mat. Yoga asana builds our physical capacity. When we recognize our bodies getting stronger and withstanding, our mental health gets a boost too. I kinda think all of that sounds good as we approach the holiday season.

With the shortening of days and added darkness, we may notice that the robust energy of summer wanes and we find ourselves sitting even more. There's a difference between sitting for relaxation and sitting in stagnancy. When we begin to move, when we begin that conversation with our body, the body produces more energy for even more movement and we feel good. Yoga is amazing at balancing us. It's ok and even healthy for us to acknowledge the slowing down in the fall and winter, but when the skies get darker we can also become a bit depressed in mood and body. Let's keep moving in the ways that feel good so that we can enjoy the times we sit. Balance and thriving are for us no matter the season.

You’re always on my mind,

Jill💜
