1st Simple Rule
Never ever ever let your mood dictate what you do.
You have to take action first. Because movement changes your mood.
We know how much better we feel when we've moved our bodies. How we feel in our bodies determines quite often how we think in our heads and moving our bodies can help us turn chaotic and ruminating thoughts into calmer organized ones. How we feel in our bodies changes our mood. Why is it then, so many of us find it challenging to move? Well, sometimes, we just don't feel like it. While feelings are important and tuning into them can be the beginning of integrating our whole selves, they're not always the best measure by which to move forward. (Pun absolutely intended.) When we feel tired, it's oftentimes the byproduct of sitting, not from physical exertion. When we move our bodies instead, we actually create more energy, feel less tired and energized! Now, THAT's a good feeling and a very good mood.
