Who keeps doing the rain dance out there??

I spent the weekend with my daughter and a whole slew of her besties and their moms. It was Mom's weekend at U of O, sorority style. Many of these from California moms had not been to the Willamette Valley but for less than a handful of times and I had the privilege of seeing our beautiful valley through their very dry, sun soaked lens. As I crave the rays of the warm summer sunshine and feel like I couldn't possibly take in any more rainy day views, I saw afresh the brilliance of green, as though nature had perfectly orchestrated the backdrop of grey by which these beautiful shades, vivid and lustrous became light switches at every point of sight. Cherry blossoms hung on through our rain's relentlessness (and still could spare some for us this carpet!) These Cali women didn't even know what kind of trees these were! iPhones out everyone! Yes, pink is pretty awesome for a party bus of 28 women! We even had a bit of hail and these poor sunshine state gals don't own let alone wear Patagonia. I love us, right? As cold and wet as these days, weeks, months have been, I am reminded how we are richly blessed in the northwest. And you know what? The sunshine will arrive and we will be ready! In the meantime, we have yoga to help us with our patience. :) When the sunshine finally bursts through seemingly relentless skies of backdrop grey, we are going to be full throttle busy working in our northwest yards once again with appreciative northwest hearts. In the meantime, we gain a greater and grander perspective. Let's take that to our yoga mat!

Thanks for reading.

With rain soaked love,

Jill💜☔️
