The trees are whispering to me, reminding me of my roots, and my reach...shhhh...can you hear them? Selflessly sharing their subtle song. - Jeb Dickerson
Some of you I've known for quite some time, some of you are new friends. Some of you have practiced yoga with me, some of you would like to. :) All of you have expressed interest in knowing more about what's happening at my new yoga studio! My weekly Whispers to Wednesday newsletter is getting a little upgrade too. I adore that our practice will be on a little lane called Willow. Trees are a symbol of strength as they live and even thrive though harsh conditions, seemingly contradictory. They bend without breaking, adapting to circumstances around them they can't control. The rush of rustling leaves on a windy evening call me to take in a deep breath. They whisper courage in their resiliency. Yoga has a sweet way of whispering in our heads, our hearts and our bodies and calling us to center, healing us from the inside out. We discover freedom in our bodies as we explore our mobility and strength through breath and movement. Willow trees are often found growing near water. Living water, yep, I like that too. So, here we are, on Willow Lane practicing yoga so we can leave our mats freer than when we started, a bit more centered and a bit more brave! I wonder if we should incorporate Tree Pose (Vrksasana) into every practice?! I know Todd and Dan would like that very much. And then there's Crow Pose and Drinking Bird... I feel a theme coming on. :)
