It’s time for yoga.
What do you do each day that centers you? What is that thing, that place, that routine where you become fully present? That's your yoga happening off the mat. In fact, the more we practice on the mat, the more we experience the magic off it! We cultivate awareness, take notice and learn to breathe well. We learn to move well, listen to our bodies and experience gratitude for the amazing things our bodies do for us and the life we get to live in them. We discover rest and we take notice there is always gratitude. Challenges, yes. Human life is full of those. Our modern society shouts at us, but hardly if ever a whisper toward calming our often frazzled nervous system, help us find alignment in bodies and minds, nor bring peace and our center. But, it is our practice on the mat that brings us notice. Our notice becomes our awareness toward change. We come to the mat to connect to ourselves and be reminded again; there is still so much goodness.
Yoga is the fastest growing fitness modality in the United States, and of course that may be what gets us through the yoga studio door. But, we soon realize the reason we stay is for something so much more.
