Bust a move instead of popping a pill

Yoga so positively affects so many of our complex body systems helping to maintain homeostasis, keeping us healthy and well. Our autonomic system which includes heart rate, blood pressure and digestion as well as our endocrine, hormone and immune systems become regulated from our regular yoga practice. Not only do our body systems affect how we feel and our emotional health, but research shows that our emotions affect our body systems and overall wellness. While our asana practice is seemingly at outward expression as we move our bodies into different shapes, what is happening on the inside is also shifting and finding balance. Yoga is such an inside job!

As we embark on cold and flu season, let's help our immune systems stay strong by keeping to our regular practice. As we enter into the holiday season, our stress responders can get a little out of whack too. I know what to do! :)
