Another pause. Again. We’re still ok.

We live in constant change. These days bring a heightened awareness of it. We are also masters at framing what we see to fit into a reality that makes us feel like we are in control. However, our stress and anxiety levels tell us otherwise. We simply can't control the things, but the way we respond and the choice of our attitudes around them, profoundly effect our stress and anxiety levels.

In yoga, we learn both awareness and curiosity. Stillness, breath and movement of the body allows us instead of being in constant reaction to the onslaught of continual change and the wake of the "what if's," we become observers. We witness ourselves in the present moment, take notice to it without categorizing it good or bad, and consciously allow the moment to pass without igniting our nervous system. We begin to observe that each and every moment comes and goes, like an ocean wave we simply become witnesses and find our resiliency in place of reaction and peace instead of panic even in the midst of raging storms. We begin to heal from our overthinking inner critic and no longer need to live as victims of the past, the pain and the fear.
