Snow and Boots
I walked from the parked car about midway in the large Mt Hood Meadows parking lot to the lodge. It was snowing hard and had been for a while. Making new tracks through the snow, I became aware of my breath. One step at a time combined with my breath and the awesome present moment presented itself. Today, was Talia’s very last high school ski race forever. The air seemed fresher, my body was comfortable and mobile and I had actually dressed properly and was toasty warm. Extraordinarily, I became fully aware of the space and time and my presence in it. Rather than the dwell of “the is her last race,” and “how can four years have gone by this fast,” I knew it was in the right now I wanted to celebrate. What came before and what had yet to come, fell away from my thoughts. I wasn’t going to spend right now missing right now!
It was her last race, she finished well. But, it was really so much more.
Set your intention in the now and be amazed at the fullness of like in it.
